Healthcare residence for disabled people

The RSD “Marco Teggia” is a residential facility, accredited and contracted for 18 beds, intended for patients with serious permanent disabilities resulting from acute events or chronic disabling diseases.

Who is it aimed at?

It welcomes people from 18 years of age with serious and very serious disabilities due to neurodegenerative diseases (for example amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, multiple sclerosis, Huntington’s chorea, muscular dystrophy) or acute vascular or traumatic events i (vegetative state, states of minimal consciousness, outcomes of trauma).

Delivery method

The activity is carried out through health and socio-health services provided in a residential regime in collaboration with ATS, ASST and territorially competent social services.

Activation of the service

The facility can be accessed by independently submitting the application for acceptance.

The application must be accompanied by a clinical report containing:

  • Anamnesis< /li>
  • Diagnosis
  • Treatment taken
  • Reason for referral
  • Indication of the name and contact details of the caregiver and of the appointed legal protection figure.

 

The people in a vegetative state (in case of availability of reserved places) and suffering from ALS or other motor neuron diseases have priority for inclusion.
